Getting to Lausanne

The easiest way to reach Lausanne is to fly to the Geneva airport. From there there is direct train to Lausanne every 30 minutes. To buy train tickets you can use the ticket machines on the airport or use the SBB website. You will also have access to the timings on the same website. You can in fact find timings all the way to EPFL by choosing it as your destination.

Getting to EPFL

Attendees of the summer school will be assigned to one of the following two hotels:

To reach these hotels take the metro M2 at the main train station in Lausanne, in direction of Les Croisettes (or Sallaz). Get down at Lausanne-Flon, which is only one stop from there. From here take the metro M1 towards Renens and exit at the EPFL station. From there you can find the hotels and the lecture room BC 420) by following paths on the following map.


Events

The apero on Sunday starts at 19:30 and will take place on the BC Terrace. (next to the classroom).

The banquet will take place at Chalet Suisse on Thursday at 20:00. We will very likely be proceeding together to the spot, so you need not worry about how to get there.
